Update on Future Conferences - April 23, 2012

The Secretariat of the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise provided an update on future AIDS Vaccine conferences.  In the update to stakeholders, Bill Snow  noted that recent breakthroughs in vaccines and other HIV prevention technologies have shown that we must consider implications and synergies as we continue to move HIV vaccine research forward. He wrote that in 2014, "we will usher in a new, broader prevention intervention conference, which will be an outgrowth from previous Microbicides and Vaccine Conferences."  The full update can be downloaded below.

Jose Esparza Receives Congressional Medal of Merit - April 20, 2012

Congratulations to Jose Esparza, who received the prestigious Congressional Medal of Merit on 19 April in recognition of his distinguished contributions to global health.  

Enterprise Welcomes Bill Snow as Director of Secretariat - April 2, 2012

The Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise Board of Directors appointed Bill Snow to serve as Director of its Secretariat.  Bill has a long and distinguished history in the HIV vaccine field and knows the history of the Enterprise well, having served on its original Council; as Treasurer of the Board when it received its first funding and working with the Gates Foundation vaccine group while it was the Interim Secretariat in Seattle.
