Symposium on Nonhuman Primate Models for AIDS, November 2013
The 31st Annual Symposium on Nonhuman Primate Models for AIDS, hosted by the Yerkes National Primate Research Center, Emory University, was held on 3–6 November 2013, in Atlanta, Georgia. The meeting was organized around six sessions, including work-in-progress presentations in NHP research in latency, pathogenesis, host models, early host-virus interactions, therapeutic interventions, and vaccine immunology.  Read more...


AIDS Vaccine 2013, October 2013

AIDS Vaccine 2013 was hosted by the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise together with the Catalan Program for HIV Vaccine Research (HIVACAT) at the Barcelona International Convention Center from 7 – 10 October.  The conference opened and closed with discussions around HVTN 505, a phase 2b clinical trial stopped earlier this year when the vaccine tested was found to be ineffective.  Read more...


Keystone Symposia, February 2013

The “HIV Vaccines” meeting this year was organized concurrently with the “B Cell Development and Function” meeting, reflecting the recent attention on antibodies and B cell responses in the HIV vaccine field. AIDS Vaccine Research Subcommittee Meeting Report, May 2012
