The Secretariat of the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise provided an update on future AIDS Vaccine conferences. In the update to stakeholders, Bill Snow noted that recent breakthroughs in vaccines and other HIV prevention technologies have shown that we must consider implications and synergies as we continue to move HIV vaccine research forward. He wrote that in 2014, "we will usher in a new, broader prevention intervention conference, which will be an outgrowth from previous Microbicides and Vaccine Conferences."
