DETAILS

May include some or all of the following:

- Participate in protocol team conference calls and meetings
- Review protocol drafts and participate in protocol development.
- Review or confirm statistical consideration for protocol (sample size/power)
- Working alone or with the lead protocol statistician, design appropriate analyses, write statistical analysis plans, and provide statistical analysis of project data and research projects
- Review case report forms
- Assist in the development of quality assurance procedures for on-going data collection and analysis, such as establishing edit checks, or HIV endpoint validation.
- Provide statistical analysis, written summaries and tables of results of project data for use in project reports, for example, Data and Safety Monitoring Board meetings and scientific papers, independently or under minimal direction of protocol statisticians.
- Document and archive statistical documents
- Develop and evaluate new statistical software
- Coordinate the production of statistical reports, including establishing timelines and required deliverables.
- Represent Data Analysis Unit (DAU) at standing committee meetings and/or cross-section working groups.
- Mentor junior statistical research associates.
- Give oral presentations of study results and/or statistical programming tools/methods.
- Perform other duties as required.

ELIGIBILITY

A Master's degree in Statistics or Biostatistics and a minimum of four years of related experience is required. Applicants must have a background in statistical computing and proficiency with the statistical package SAS, as well as with the development of statistical programs and software. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
