The ‘Down Stream Processing’ (DSP) department develops processes for purifying and formulating (recombinant) viruses and antibodies from fermentation medium. These processes must be safe, economical and scalable. They will be implemented in a GMP production facility for the production of clinical batches and scaled-up for commercial production.
We are looking for a motivated student looking to gain experience working in industry. You will be involved in the analysis of samples from the development of clarification and purification processes for high-density PER.C6 feed streams with record high antibody or (recombinant) viruses titers. The techniques include titer (affinity HPLC) and aggregate analysis (HP-SEC analysis) on a state of the art analytical HPLC, impurity profiles on SDS-PAGE and host cell protein determination on ELISA.
We are looking for an enthusiastic MLO student in a relevant discipline such as biochemistry, life sciences or related fields.
The most important competencies for this position are accuracy, enthusiasm and good planning and communication skills. In addition, you need to be eager to learn and able to work independently.
